My collection

The terminology and information I've used came straight from The Forest Connection.

The Childhood Gang

My mum used to take me second hand shopping as a kid in the mid 90's. Back then it wasn't a cool thing to do but a practical one. And I guess my mum has always had some green values. I don't remember if I asked for them, but we started buying me Forest Families (Pikkarainen) if we found them. I was also gifted a dad-made doll house for my birthday. I wasn't actually much of a figurine kid in my play, I much preferred to roleplay with costumes and props. But I do remember playing with them and organizing their house.

4 Big Bears

First set big bears. One has the mother skirt and apron. Others didn’t have their clothes with them.

When playing we used clothes from Simba bears that were a similar size. The one with the mum dress was big sister, the one with the Simba bear pants was big brother, one with full length, sleeved dress was mother and one with a collared shirt with a bow was father.

Adult Bear

German mold. He didn't have clothes of his own.

In my chidhood he was the main character. He wore light blue overalls with red buttons that belong to the gorilla boy.

Daughter Bear

Child size, wearing a pink dress with white polka dots and lilac straps.

In my childhood she was the little sister. Cute, but a little annoying.

Adult Cow

German mold. She came with the mother’s dress that is white with blue polka dots and red straps with lace

In my childhood this character was a boy, because he had horns and he wore the dog’s shirt. Also friends with Main Character. He had a short temper.

Adult Dog

German mold. His shirt is the white and blue plaid one and his pants are a set of beige dungarees with white buttons. Mine is missing a button.

In my childhood he always wore beige dungarees. He was one of the neighbour kids gang and best friends with Main Character Bear. Laid back and friendly.

Adult Elephant

UK mold! I don’t think I have clothes that belong to them.

In my childhood this was a neighbour girl and she wore the cow’s dress.

Child Gorilla

Child size. The pale blue dungarees with white polka dots and red buttons were his. His right arm is almost loose and he has a lot of flocking damage.

When we played as kids he was an annoying little neighbour kid that bothered our main gang and was friends with little sister bear. He was naked.

Gotten as an adult

2 Adult Bears
Both German mold. One in good condition, one bait condition that has marker on it. One was wearing white and blue plaid pants with suspenders and had a red ribbon glued to their chest. So it seems to be the first edition dad. I took it off and swapped the body for the wolf. Bought in a lot from a Finnish vintage toy group on facebook.

Child Bear
Bait condition, covered in marker. Bought in a lot from a Finnish vintage toy group on facebook.

2 Baby Bears
Smaller then regular child. One naked, one wearing a blue felt vest with red ribbon with white spots. Bought in a lot from a Finnish vintage toy group on facebook.

Adult Cat
Early mold with whiskers! Very shapely compared to the others. Bought in a lot from a Finnish vintage toy group on facebook.

Adult Frog
I don't know if there are different molds of the frogs. The arms do move separately. They came with the mother's dress that is white and had small pink roses and a lace ruffle around the neck. The flocking is in good condition. Bought from an ebay toy seller from Sweden.

Adult Wolf
German Mold. The white in ears and cheeks in pretty good condition. The joints are pretty loose and he's pretty soft. Bought in a lot from a Finnish vintage toy group on facebook.

Child Wolf
The white bits in very good condition. Bought in a lot from a Finnish vintage toy group on facebook.
