I was at a friends post pride brunch when my partner went in to use the bathroom. They texted me minutes later "Are these forest families??" I have a child monkey, so I recognized the mold immediately. But of course I had to run in to check them out. And they were... big. I had my core crew with me in my bum bag and I grabbed Oula for reference, since the bears are the common one. I was confused. I knew the bear family had big adults but I had not heard of others. Took a picture of them and continued socializing. On the drive home it hit me. These must be those bärenwald simba ones. The bears in that series are a lighter brown and look different to Oula, but my friends has a big lion. Now that I'm searching the internet, I see the big lions are recognized as bärenwald. So it would make sense.
My friend also had a tree home you can see in the back. I have no idea if it belongs to the monkeys, but that could make sense. Too bad I was so taken in by the monkeys that I didn't take time to check it out more closely. If anyone knows anything, I'd be super interested to know.
Edit/ Google is giving me Tiny Tots Family Tree House for the home!
Edit 2/ Xara of Forest Families Collector tells me they are ZOO Familie by Wachsmuth & Krogmann, a brand very similar to Forest Families. They're from the 80's and maybe not quite as high quality as Simba.
